SWA Run Away 5k. The Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County’s Run AWAY 5K is raising awareness of recycling and solid waste issues while raising funds for the reuse nonprofit, Resource Depot. On Saturday, April 5, at 7:30 a.m., individuals and families are invited to the Palmetto Trailhead of the SWA Greenway Trail System for a trail run and walk. The new race course will still allow participants to explore cabbage palms, cypress hammocks, marshes and lush pine flat woods, with glimpses of Grassy Waters Preserve and Renewable Energy Park as they witness industry meeting nature.
