• Embrace Alice. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland hits the stage this week at the Playground Theatre, giving a tropical twist to the classic fairy tale. The Playground's Alice is an 11-year old Miami girl tackling the challenges of her world. The show runs through March 11 and is recommended for all ages.
• Catch a Show. Explore the stars at Fabulous First Friday at MiaSci, celebrate Black History Month in North Beach, discover architecture with MOCA's creative arts for kids, or brush up on parenting skills at Books for Smart Kids at Books & Books Bal Harbour.
• Weekend Plan. Skate away at the North Beach bandshell, celebrate the Year of the Dragon with Wok Star, go green at the Coral Gables farmer's market, get crafty with A Painting Fiesta!, build & learn at Home Depot's free kids workshop, and celebrate Dr. Seuss's anniversary at Dadeland.
